The Top 5 Best Video Game Graphics of 2007





There are tons of [games release on this year], where these five games will set the new standard for the best looking games of 2007. Not only will these graphics bring innovation, they will take gaming to the next level!

5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
First up is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There is no denying that the Call of Duty series is the best FPS shooter ever! Now comes COD4 and does it look so sweet. Get ready for a fast-pace action that will keep you glued to your monitor!

4. Mass Effect
Next is the most anticipated RPG from BioWare. Massive world, superb a.i., and the best graphics for a RPG to date! What more can you ask? Not much when you’re talking about Mass Effect. The game uses the Unreal Engine 3 at its fullest. If you want eye popping candy graphics, this is the game for you!

3. BioShock
BioShock… need I to say more? Another game that using the Unreal Engine 3 but a heavily modified version. Hint, it is “heavily modified” which can only mean one thing, the game will look very very good! After playing the demo on my Xbox 360, I have never seen water effects so good.

2. Unreal Tournament 3
The best multiplayer online shooter ever! Now Epic comes out with Unreal Tournament 3 and does it look so good. The game uses Unreal Engine 3 and get this, from the Official Xbox Magazine, UT3 makes “Gears of War look ugly”.

1. Crysis
That’s right, Crysis is the best looking game of 2007! Crysis runs on the CryENGINE2, predecessor of the CryENGINE which was used for Far Cry. The CryENGINE2 uses Direct3D 10 framework of Windows Vista. Just look at those pictures, you can stop drooling and pick up your mouth.

What are you basing this information on…a couple of SS and a trailer in no way demonstrate the ultimate graphic potential of a game and you haven’t even identified which games use DX10 and to what extent.
I usually don’t reply to blogs but at least provide some technical information as to why these particular games merit “Top 5″

And MassEffect also looks good.
